Our chapter is actively accepting proposals from Speakers who wish to present at our monthly meetings, annual conference, legislative conference, manager's workshop, and/or virtual seminars throughout the year.

Speaker Selection Guidelines

TXBA SHRM typically does not offer a fee or honorarium for Conference or Meeting Speakers. The size of, and decision-making authority of the audience and membership, provides an outstanding opportunity for speakers to increase their visibility and establish valuable contacts within the Southeast Houston HR community.

Presentations are reviewed by the Board of Directors and programming committees and are evaluated based on proposed topic, relevance, and overall quality of content and relatedness to the HR profession, originality, and educational value, as well as Presenter’s professional speaking skills and references. It is TXBA SHRM’s intent to submit all presentations to the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and SHRM to achieve strategic or general credit for the benefit of attendees. TXBA SHRM will work with all Speakers to obtain the necessary information to submit presentations for credit.
